In 2011, DuPont announced the initiation of the DuPont™ Tyvek® Medical Packaging Transition Project (MPTP). In other words, DuPont is “transitioning Tyvek® 1073B and Tyvek® 1059B to manufacturing lines that use the latest flash-spinning technology to help ensure greater continuity and flexibility of future supply.”
So what does this mean for you? Well, you will need to assess all of the MPTP data DuPont has made available on their website to verify if any additional testing will need to be completed. As a manufacturer, you have a responsibility to your clients to evaluate the package’s ability to protect your product through all of the necessary distribution processes and storage conditions.
Why should you choose NAMSA?
NAMSA has multiple facilities with in-house experts readily available to assist with your product’s development, whether you require support with evaluating DuPont’s data or additional testing. We were also selected by DuPont to conduct testing on Transition Protocol material.
