Northwood, Ohio, October, 2011 – NAMSA, a worldwide leader in the safety and clinical evaluation of medical devices, will expand their Northwood laboratories with the aid of the State of Ohio’s Job Creation Tax Credit.

The $7.5 million dollar expansion includes construction of a 30,000-square-foot laboratory. In addition to the new space, NAMSA has committed to adding at least 20 employees at the site.

The groundbreaking for the project will begin in the Fall of 2011. The new facilities are scheduled for development in four phases, with the first to be completed in January 2012 and the final by June 2013. The construction will not disrupt services to customers.

“This expansion is important to NAMSA to better serve our customers and manage increased demand,” states NAMSA Vice President of Operations Gina Skolmowski. “Our ability to generate test results in a timely and precise manner has always been integral to NAMSA’s success. The additional laboratory space will help us accelerate our clients’ time to market.”

NAMSA is a leading global contract research organization providing a comprehensive range of services to prove efficacy, nonclinical, and clinical safety of medical devices and combination products. For more than 40 years, NAMSA clients have utilized its testing and consulting services to bring safe and effective therapies to market.
